Andrew Sudholz

Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Andrew is a founding shareholder and Executive Director of Japara Healthcare. Andrew has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate, healthcare and construction industries.

Prior to the establishment of Japara, Andrew was a Global Partner of the Arthur Andersen Group, the National Partner of Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group and the State General Manager for the Triden Corporation

Andrew has consistently delivered results in his previous roles due to his expertise in strategy implementation, corporate finance, business management and funds management.

Andrew holds an Associate Diploma of Valuations from the Royal Melbourne Institution of Technology, a Diploma in Real Estate from the Prahan Institute of Technology and an Australia Financial Services License.

Chris Price

Chief Financial Officer

Chris was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Japara in June 2015 and as a Company Secretary in July 2015.

Chris has over 25 years experience in the financial services, professional services and manufacturing sectors. Most recently he was Managing Director of ASX listed professional services firm Crowe Horwath Australia Limited, having previously served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer for seven years.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University.

Wendy Wadell

Group Executive – Care & Commercial

Wendy has a career spanning over thirty-five years in the Human Services sector. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), is a Director of the approved provider Japara, and a Director of L’Arche Melbourne.

Wendy has qualifications in nursing, social work and education and a Masters in Aged Services Management.

Wendy previously worked for Southern Cross Care (VIC) as the Executive Manager Residential and Retirement Living.

Throughout her career Wendy has demonstrated her capacity to build influential relationships, engage with internal and external stakeholders and to act as a strong and respected voice in the sector.

Wendy is passionate about innovation and people, evidenced in the development and implementation of numerous award winning projects including a ‘Smaller is Better’building design

Wendy has a visionary ability to identify brilliant potential in people and organisations and ignite that brilliance into action for amazing results.

Ashley van Winkel

Group Executive – People & Infrastructure

Ashley has been with Japara for the past five years, having commenced as Group General Manager of HR in 2012, and holds a particular interest in Industrial Relations and Workforce Management. Ashley is extremely passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the company’s staff.

Ashley has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and General Management, having worked across a wide range of industries in his professional career, including Oil, Retail, Wholesale, Services, and most recently, Aged Care for the past 10 years, with experience across the Retirement Living, Community Care and Residential Aged Care sectors. In addition, Ashley has been a successful professional in the sporting field, representing South Africa in Lawn Bowls in the 1994 Commonwealth Games, and winning a Bronze medal in the 1996 World Bowls Games.

He most recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Business at the Warner Institute in Melbourne.
