New South Wales: Japara Home restrictions

Are face masks required?

 

  • All essential visitors must wear a surgical mask
  • All staff must wear a surgical mask

 

Are flu vaccinations required?

 

  • All visitors are strongly encouraged to have an annual flu vaccination, please let your Home Manager (or delegate) know if you haven’t before your visit.
  • All Japara staff are required to have an annual flu vaccination

 

Are there visitor restrictions?

 

GREATER SYDNEY

 

  • Residents can have two (2) visitors for up two (2) hours.
  • All visitors must be temperature checked and complete a COVID-19 screening.
  • All visitors must declare at entry that they haven’t been to a known case location. If they have, they are required to undertake COVID-19 test and isolate until a negative result is received.

 

REGIONAL SYDNEY including Japara Albury and District, Japara Coffs Harbour, Japara South West Rocks

 

  • No visitors from Greater Sydney are permitted to visit residents in regional Homes, including Japara Forest View, Japara Henley Manor, Japara Brighton Le Sands.
  • There are no restrictions on people from regional NSW visiting residents in regional Homes.

 

Can I take my family member for an outing or home visits?

 

GREATER SYDNEY

 

  • Residents are strongly discouraged from leaving the Home, but please speak with your Home Manager (or delegate) about excursions or outings.
  • Residents must declare at re-entry that they haven’t been to a known case location. If they have, they are required to undertake COVID-19 test and isolate until a negative result is received.

 

REGIONAL SYDNEY including Japara Albury and District, Japara Coffs Harbour, Japara South West Rocks

 

  • Residents who are from regional Homes can leave the facility.
  • Residents in regional Homes who leave the Home will not be required to test and self-isolate on return, unless they have been to a known case location.

 

What other restrictions to daily life in the Home are still in place?

 

GREATER SYDNEY

 

  • No entertainers on site
  • No volunteers on site
  • No bus excursions
  • Hairdressing is permitted with the resident and provider both wearing a surgical mask

 

REGIONAL SYDNEY including Japara Albury and District, Japara Coffs Harbour, Japara South West Rocks

 

  • There are currently no further restrictions, provided any activity is within Regional Sydney.

 

Are we open for Home Tours?

 

GREATER SYDNEY

 

  • Yes, with two (2) people from outside the Home and one (1) person from the Home.

 

REGIONAL SYDNEY including Japara Albury and District, Japara Coffs Harbour, Japara South West Rocks

 

  • Yes, with any reasonable number of people from outside the Home.
