50 years of nursing

Last week, one of the registered nurses from our Sandhill home (South Launceston, TAS), Colleen Partington, reached 50 years of nursing!

Colleen started nursing the day after she turned 17, and her career has taken her all over Australia, eventually leading her to Japara in 2014, where she remains in charge of the evening shifts at Sandhill and is widely respected by staff, residents and family members.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we hosted a surprise afternoon tea for her with friends and colleagues.

Congratulations on an outstanding achievement, Colleen. Your continued dedication is inspiring to all of us at Japara.
