A burgeoning talent at Bonbeach

Pauline, who is living with dementia, is one of our residents at Bonbeach. She receives weekly music therapy, which involves two young musicians attending to her weekly lessons at the home.

Following the sessions, Pauline is then escorted to the day room to perform for her fellow residents during Happy Hour, an experience that allows her to showcase her talent, whilst providing entertainment and a relaxing environment for others.

We have seen numerous benefits since implementing this schedule – Pauline thoroughly enjoys the interactions with her companions and the lovely compliments they’ve been paying her, and our other residents have loved the regular, in-house entertainment.
