A lovely letter to our Bayview team

Last week, our team at Bayview, Japara’s aged care home in Carrum Downs, received this beautiful letter from the daughter of one of our former residents:

Apologies this letter is long overdue!

My mother, Mary, passed away on the 20th December 2018. She had been in full time care at Bayview aged care facility in Carrum downs for 11 years.

I am writing on behalf of our family to express how grateful we were for the wonderful care Mum received by a lot of the staff in that time . Particularly during some hard times within the family. What very special people they are and I will be forever grateful, especially for the love care and concern we received during Mum’s last few days.

A very big thank you with all our hearts to, (apologies for any incorrect spelling of names!) Judy, Preet, Dipti, Ruby, Matt, Vungi, Lambrini.

A very special thank you to Lynette, Leena, Kiran, Nadia, Fungi, Anita, Angie, Carey, Zac, Emily, Melena, Rachel, Latta, Wendy, and many more to mention. I’m really sorry to those wonderful staff I’ve not mentioned, I hope you will be rightly acknowledged to management by the rest of the staff for me!

Also the kind & friendly kitchen and laundry staff, Suzanna, Joelle, Rex, Julie and again sorry to those I’ve not included.. Paul in maintenance, always caring & helpful over the years, Pauline and Yanti (spelling wrong I know!) in reception always good to us.

Also the amazing late night staff, wow, how well you looked after Mum and I in palliative care stages. Pauline, Mamory, everyone was so great.

The support I received by all you lovely people I will never forget. Thank you for looking after my Mum, and I will miss you all very much.

With Love from Julie, Craig, Emily, Cassie and Cj the dog too!

We sincerely thank Julie for her kind words, and congratulate our Bayview team for their outstanding efforts in upholding Japara’s vision of ‘enriching every life we touch’.
