Adventures within the home

Our Central Park aged care home (Windsor, VIC) has recently introduced the Oculus Go Virtual Reality device to the residents in our specialised environment for those living with dementia.

So far, the residents have loved being able to go on adventures such as forest walks without leaving the comfort of the home, and the technology has been found to have a very calming effect on those who have given it a go.

The next step is to introduce the meditative function of the technology to help those who can become quite agitated or distressed due to their respective condition.
