Introducing Japara Coffs Harbour Residential Care

Nestled between high mountains and breathtaking seaside views, Japara Coffs Harbour Residential Care is an excellent choice for local residents requiring 24 hour nursing care in an aged care facility with a family-friendly, community environment.

Our highly trained and caring staff provide individualised care for each of our residents, who can choose from a selection of single rooms with private ensuites or twin share accommodation, providing companionship for couples or friends, whilst receiving the benefits of 24 hour aged care.

Facility Manager Virginia Podesta is a Registered Nurse and has worked at Japara Coffs Harbour Residential Care for 26 years. A typical week sees Virginia oversee a team of 146 passionate staff, dedicated to the many aspects of a resident’s care. Virginia explains:

“Coffs Harbour Residential Care is a community within a community. Our longest serving member of staff has been here for over 35 years. Many of our staff have family members also who work here, and even have family members who are residents here. It really is a home away from home. My Aunt is a fine example of good living at Coffs Harbour. She is 100 years old and I’ve had the pleasure of overseeing her care for the past 9 years.”

Acquired by Japara Healthcare in 2015, Cofs Harbour Residential Care has exciting changes to look forward to. “We are excited about the new refurbishment this year, aimed at improving the amenities and accommodation for our residents”.

The leisure and lifestyle program at Coffs Harbour Residential Care provides innovative, creative and stimulating events. Our program includes individual, group and community activities, and our lifestyle team are there to support residents in selecting activities suitable or appealing to them.
