Vonlea Manor, Norlane – Compliment on outstanding care!

The team at Vonlea Manor, Japara’s aged care home in Norlane, received beautiful comments from Margaret Brownlie, the sister of a resident. Have a read below.

” Judy,

My brother Allan came to live at Vonlea Manor on 6/9/17. I visited for the first time on 20/9/17. What I witnessed as a retired RN(Registered Nurse) was exemplary!! The care of every resident, not just Allan.

I have also been treated with the utmost respect and find it a delight to visit. I have now been 5 times.

The residents are treated as individuals, and with such respect it is humbling to see.

I would highly recommend Vonlea Manor as a dementia unit of excellence to professionals, families considering where to place their loved ones, and as a model for other dementia units to learn from.

The Services offered are delivered to protect the dignity of the residents, which I find so impressive.

I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart sincerely for being “born” to provide for these people who have not chosen dementia – it chose them. You are wonderful individuals.

Heartfelt appreciation to all,

Margaret Brownlie”
