My husband and I have been taking care of his parents for over 16 years now. We have some experience of what it was having his father in care, it was far beyond pleasant and very distressing for us, but for the first time, we have found somewhere special at Japara.

My  mother in law has been in pain for many years but Japara has opened our eyes and provided an environment where she has no pain. In other care homes, she has wanted to go home each day but now, she’s laughed for the first time in a long time and happily says “don’t worry about me, I’m fine here!”.

The staff at Japara – from the reception team to the care givers, chefs, and cleaners – are what’s making both our and her experience the best we could ask for.

Central Park 

“I am writing to thank you and all at Central Park for your wonderful and individually focused care for Jon while he was at Central Park, short time that it proved to be.

I have had several occasions over the last few years where I have come into contact with residential aged care facilities, and I found Central Park the best I have encountered. From the welcome on our fisrt inspection visit to my last call to collect Jon’s belongings, everyone in the facility has been welcoming, kind, and supportive always.

More importantly, everyone’s care for Jon was consistent and kind; staff were able to recognise and sooth his fears, and give him support and friendship in the last weeks. The care in his last days was discrete, respectful and so kind. 

Please pass on the sincere thank you to all of your staff from myself and all of Jon’s friends who visited him at Central Park – all of us were so glad he found a final home in such a warm and well-run facility.”

Coffs Harbour

Our Regional Manager, Liz Filmer, recently received a lovely phone call from the family of a resident at Japara Coffs Harbour.

The family member wanted to express the fantastic care his brother received at Coffs Harbour and what a “joy” the home is. He feels staff are well informed and attentive, the food was “brilliant”, and the home itself was well maintained and always clean when he comes to visit.

The gentleman also praised the “excellent” food and service in the onsite café at Coffs Harbour.
