Goonawarra staff thanked for 10 years of care

Staff at Japara’s Sunbury home received this beautiful letter from the Dikes family. Roberta, Sid, Les and Roger thanked staff for the care they gave their mother Bessie, a much loved resident at Goonawarra Aged Care Home.

Over the past ten years our mother Bessie (Betty) Dikes has been a resident in your good care. We had hoped that she would have celebrated, with you, her 100th Birthday in July this year, but this is not to be.

Mum was not one to complain, we never heard her utter a bad word about the home or its personnel. She loved you all. Your smiles, jokes, care and cheerfulness meant the world to our mother.

We cannot express the gratitude we have for every member of the staff, from the senior admin levels, nursing staff, those who attended her physical needs, cleaned her room, made and delivered her tea, cooked her food, did the laundry, which all in turn made her life so much happier and wanting for little.

As a family, the care and sympathy you showed to us during our time of sorrow will not be forgotten.
