Introducing Maggie and Zek

Residents at our Lakes Entrance home have made some new friends recently, with Maggie and Zek dropping by once a week for pet therapy.

As you can see from the photo below, the lovely greyhounds have wasted no time making themselves at home, and the residents have absolutely loved having them around!

Pet therapy has been observed to have multiple benefits for the elderly, including decreasing stress levels, improving communication and ability to reminisce, increasing motivation to exercise and enhancing motor skills.
