Meet Heather Kerby-Eaton – Our Noosa Home Manager

Japara is pleased to introduce Heather Kerby-Eaton, our Home Manager at Japara Noosa Aged Care Home, a newly-renovated, 180 bed home located in the pristine surrounds of Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast.

Heather has been working in, and managing aged care homes for over 22 years, and come March 2018, will have been at Noosa for a full year. Heather’s passion for aged care is based from personal experience of wanting to help her mother, having first applied for a job at the same home her mother was living in. “I applied for the job as the director of nursing, thus beginning my 22 year history of managing aged care homes”.

For Heather, the job is more than that – it’s a passion. She wants to continue to enhance Noosa’s reputation, and make it the most highly regarded home in the area, by continuing to foster a strong sense of community, making sure every resident feels at home, and ensuring the best possible staff are employed, to provide the highest standards of care.

Outside of work, Heather is a nature lover, who enjoys bush walking, spending time with dogs, and listening to a wide range of music, from classical and opera, to more modern styles. She also enjoys travelling on her time off, and would love to one day visit South America.

To contact Heather and the team at Japara Noosa Aged Care Home, send us an email to enquiries@japara.com.au or give us a call on (07) 5447 1840.
