Oaklands’ big blanket donation

Japara Oaklands’ amazing donation of 111 blankets and quilts to The Salvation Army’s Marion Outreach Centre. Jean, one of our wonderful Oaklands’ residents, joined staff members Maria, Jemma and Stephanie to deliver the blankets. At 100-years old, Joan helped carry in the mountain of quilts, doing multiple trips – she really is amazing! Oaklands’ Care Home Manager Stephanie said that reaching out and connecting with the local community was a fantastic and heart-warming experience. The donated blankets and quilts were gladly received and will be used as part of the Salvation Army’s outreach program for the needy and the homeless.
