Transition day from Yarra West to Trugo Place

The wait is finally over!

Last week, residents from Yarra West packed up and headed over to their new home, Trugo Place.

Trugo Place is our luxurious new aged care home overlooking the picturesque waterways and tranquil parklands of Newport in Melbourne’s inner-West. Our staff put in a lot of effort to ensure that everything ran smoothly for our residents and their families when transitioning over.

Take a look at some of the photos from the day…

Decorated reception area at Trugo Place

Our Trugo Place reception area where we welcomed residents into their new home. Staff decorated the area with balloons and flowers for the special occasion.

Cupcakes with 'Trugo Place' on them

Delicious Japara cupcakes for residents and their families to enjoy in the café. Our Trugo Place café is going to be available for wider community members to enjoy as well.

We are also delighted to welcome Anna Ivancic, award-winning chef, to our brand new home. Head to our Q&A with Anna to read more about her plans for the kitchen.

Smiling elderly residents sitting together in the living area with champagne

Some very happy Trugo Place residents enjoying each other’s company in the living area. They were even treated to some bubbles!

“I am very pleased to be here at Trugo Place and I love the view from my room, it’s wonderful. I always enjoy visits from my family and am especially looking forward to getting involved in gardening, craft, exercise classes and movie afternoons in the cinema room!”
